It's much easier for you to see what we have been up to rather than me telling you. So hold on... this may be a long post!

3rd Anniversary and Summer Fun!

First of all... let me say Happy Anniversary to my love.  Today, we have been married 3 years.  I am so thankful for him. He is the best husband and father.  I am truly blessed that I get to spend the rest of my life with him.  I get giddy thinking about it!

Oh man... I am enjoying this summer so much.  I love spending my days with my sweet girl.  We started cereal a couple of weeks ago.  It started out rough, but now she loves it!!  Usually our days consist of waking up and playing at the house, then we usually go over to my SIL's to swim.  AK just hangs out in her swing underneath the back porch and LOVES it.  She has been in the pool a few times and seems to really enjoy it. We also went to Crystal Bridges with Brent's family and it was so neat!  We will definitely go back.

Also, we spent one Saturday with Jake, Julia and S at the Fayetteville Farmer's Market.  I absolutely love going to the market.  I love the flowers, all the fresh produce, and the wonderful smells.  It was a beautiful morning and AK loved being outdoors.

Next week we are headed to Nashville to visit AK's great grandparents.  The 9 hour drive should be interesting.  She still does not seem to like the car much.  We are getting better, but still have some work to do. On our way back from Nashville, we are going to my family reunion.  I look forward to to this every year. I enjoy seeing ALL of my family, eating delicious food, swimming and playing games.  This year, my sister and I are throwing my mom a 50th birthday party at my Nanny's since she lives close to my dad's family.  We are really looking forward to this. And to end our little vacation, AK and I are going to spend a week at my dad's with my sister and her three sweet girls.  We can't wait to spend time on the lake.  There is only one bad thing... we are going to my dad's without Daddy! He will pick us up from my dad's the weekend before the 4th. We are going to be busy, busy bees the next few weeks. I am so thankful for my time off!  For now, here are some updated pictures of my sweet baby girl.

4 Months old and summertime!

I haven't posted in awhile since I have been busy starting my summer, so bare with me...this may be a long post with lots of pictures!

AK is now 4 months old. I can't believe it! I think you weigh about 14 pounds but will find out soon at the 4 month checkup. You wear 3-6 month clothes.  You still are not a big fan of your carseat, but you did great going to Mimi and Nanny's last weekend.  We didn't have to stop once on our way there ~ 4 hours! You take about 3 good naps a day and a couple of cat naps throughout the day. You still love your swing and take one nap in it a day.  You are ticklish and you are laughing a lot now! We love it! You are still eating about every 3- 3 1/2 hours, but you hate the bottle!  We try and try, but you still do not want anything to do with it. We give you a bath every night before bed and you LOVE it!  You kick and squeal the whole time. Daddy still reads you books while we are putting on lotion and jammies!  He is such a good daddy. You have started getting up more at night... what's up with that girly?  Maybe it is just a phase, but for now... I am going to treasure those sweet moments I get to hold you at night.  You are growing soooo fast! We are so in love with you and are enjoying every second with you!

We recently had a playdate with S at Lake Fayetteville... Maybe they shared a stroller for a bit! :)

This weekend we are at Pappy's for Memorial Day. This was AK's first time on the lake and she did pretty good. Hopefully the rest of the lake weekend will be just as good. We bought her a little blow up bath tub and we filled it with water so it would warm up and she LOVED swimming in it. I am so thankful I get to be with my baby all summer long. I know this summer is going to go by way to fast, but for now...I am going to snuggle my girl and soak up the sun!

Birthday and Peace of Mind

Today is my love's birthday!  Happy 27th birthday Brent!  We are having our friends, Nathan and Allison, over for dinner tonight.  Allison and Brent share the same birthday so Nathan and I have an excuse to eat cake!
BTW...13 days left of school!!!  Oh how I can't wait! This summer, I have plans to go on the lake and spend lots of time outside with A!  Teaching is one of the best jobs for a mom and I am so thankful for the time I get to spend with her.  I am also looking forward to lunch dates with my friends and their babies this summer since we will all be off.

Love her so much!!

A is officially moved into her room without us upstairs now.  For the last two weeks, Brent and I have stayed in one of the extra bedrooms upstairs with her.  Ha!  I never knew it would be so hard to leave her alone in her room.  But finally, we have gotten a routine down and I feel better.  With that being said... have any of you heard of AngelCare?  It is a baby monitor that detects breathing movements when they are in their crib. It goes under the mattress. If it does not detect movement for 20 seconds it sends off an alarm.  This thing is AMAZING!!!  It gives me such peace of mind! For every movement it detects, a little green light blinks so you don't have to worry about waking your baby up by putting your hand on his/her stomach (we all do this)! I am able to get so much sleep at night.  I bought mine off Amazon for around $60.  Well worth it!!

Happy Tuesday!!

This past weekend we went to Pappy's and A did fantastic! She even did well on the car ride (thanks to her daddy for keeping her awake for a LONG time until we got ready to leave). While we were there, we captured A's first "real" laugh. I will try and post a video of it. This girl melts my heart!
I love sleepy babies!

On a sad note... please pray for our friends/neighbors, the Cox family. Travis was killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday evening. His wife and kids need all the prayers they can get.

3 Months

We are almost done with size 1 diapers.  Already?  This is going by sooo fast! You still wear some 0-3 month clothes, but have started wearing 3-6 month clothes.  You still take many naps a day, but when you are awake you are very alert.  You give us tons of smiles and you coo all the time. You eat every 3 hours still.  You get one bottle a day at Aunt Janet's and I come feed you at lunch. You love the bathtub! This is Daddy's favorite time with you! He pours water on you and you absolutely love it.  While I put lotion on, Daddy reads you Goodnight Moon. You love looking at the pictures. You have slept through the night about 5 times, but most of the time you wake up at 3-4 a.m. to eat and go right back to sleep.

You weigh about 14 pounds. You still love your swing and the bouncy seat at Aunt Janet's. We got you a carseat bar toy and you LOVE it.  Lately, you have screamed in your carseat the whole time, so we thought we would try to keep you busy back there.  So far, so good! You are going to your Pappy's house this weekend for the first time and we are so excited.  "A" we love you so much and don't even remember life without you.  I feel like you have always been a part of our family. We couldn't have asked for a better baby!

Loving Spring!!

I am loving this beautiful spring weather.  Brent and I love to take A on walks in the evening and she is starting to really enjoy it as well.  Thank goodness because Brent is super outdoorsy and really wants A to enjoy it just as much as he does. :) We had our friends John, Jake, Julia and Baby S over for a cookout on Saturday.  It was wonderful weather so we decided to do a mini photo shoot of the babies together.  These babies melt my heart.  We hope they are as good of friends as their parents are. I am not sure S is agreeing with me. Ha!

This weekend, we are headed to Mountain Home to see my dad. He has been SUPER busy during tax season but thankfully that slows down today! We haven't been to Mountain Home in a long time and this will be A's first time there. She is sure to love it. So... right now I am working for the weekend. Lets just pray she does good in the car. Lately, it has been a struggle to keep her happy in the car. I am hoping it is just a phase. Have a good rest of the week!
